HHX cymbals, like their HH counterparts, are hand-hammered by a Sabian cymbal maker in the factory. The HHX line has been modified from its HH roots by including Sabian's "Tone Projection" design - you'll notice much larger ridges and bumps on the bow of the cymbal.
