The Sabian 22" HHX Omni Ride Cymbal does almost everything you want it to, made with the help of drumming superstar Jojo Mayer. Darker than the AAX version, this cymbal is quite difficult to craft because of the contrast between the dry, articulate center and the thin, responsive outer edge.
It's technically a ride cymbal, but this plate can easily act like a crash as soon as you touch the outer edge. No matter how loudly you ride on the unlathed center, the body of the cymbal will never overtake your stick articulation.
The 22" model is very dark and low in pitch thanks to its size, with a creamier overall tone than smaller models.
