The Meinl 16" Byzance Traditional Medium Thin Crash Cymbal is moderately dark and really washy, able to cover up a lot of other noise pretty easily. A wide range of frequencies jumps out of this cymbal when you hit it, giving it a very 'full' sound.
This cymbal is loud when you hit it, and because of the medium-thin weight you don't need to hit it really hard to get the high end of the frequencies to sound. It's very versatile, working especially well in louder music genres.
