The Meinl 20" Byzance Extra Dry Medium Ride cymbal features starkly articulate stick definition, as you would expect, but there's more underlying resonance than you would guess. All attacks result in a short sustain, and the overall timbre is dark and warm.
The bell is quite a bit brighter than the rest of the cymbal to give you a clear ping when you want it.
