The Evans 22" EMAD Heavyweight Bass Drum Head delivers an intense amount of attack and you can hit it basically as hard as you want. If you play styles of music that demand clear bass articulation and loud volumes (not to mention plenty of low end), this head will treat you right.
The head is made with two identical 10mil plies of film to withstand heavy hits all day, as well as two interchangeable damping rings that you can use to modify how much attack and focused tone you want to get, all without needing to remove the head or reach inside the drum.
