Evans Strata 1400 Concert Bass Drum Heads feature a similar texture and tone to natural calf, made with a 14-mil ply of textured film. It produces a warm, full sustain with a mid-range attack that blends well with orchestras and wind ensembles.
Slightly thicker than the Strata 1000 model, this head trades off a bit of resonance for more durability and a more focused, powerful attack. A power center on the underside of the head further increases durability and focus - great for those gut-punching moments.
