The Tama Cocktail-JAM Drum Set is one of the most compact, fully usable drum sets to ever hit the market. Made for the acoustic drummer on the go, this set fits into a space much smaller than a traditional kit. And it all fits into two small bags!
You'll probably notice right off the bat that the drums only have one head each - this is what helps make them so compact and transportable. The small tom, floor tom, and bass drum all collapse into each other to take up the space of a single 7" x 16" drum.
The hardware on this kit is pretty interesting - three thick rods suspend the floor tom directly above the bass drum, while also serving as anchor points for the other attachments. One rod holds bracket arms for the small tom and the snare drum, while the other two leave room for the cymbal attachment and hi hat attachment (sold separately).
The included pedal is a bit different as well, swinging the beater head upward with every stroke to hit the floor-facing bass drum! The support bracket on the bass drum sturdily holds the pedal in place.
