IP Christopher Lamb Orchestral CL-X5 Xylophone Mallets have a 1-1/8" nylon head with enough weight behind it to really start bringing the volume when the rest of the ensemble is beginning to bring up their dynamic levels.
Just under the CL-X6 model in terms of hardness, these medium-hard mallets speak clearly across the entire range of the xylophone, and will not dent rosewood bars. They could easily become your 'go-to' xylophone mallet.
All mallets in this series have flexible rattan shafts that do not transfer any 'tick' to the sound of the bar.
