DW 22B-10-12-16F-14S Design Series Shell Pack

Note: Shell Packs are defined as drums only. No cymbals, stands, pedals, or hardware of any kind is included except where noted. An exception is toms mounted on the bass drum will have included posts for mounting the toms.

DW's Design Series Drums feature 100% North American Maple shells. These shells provide this shell pack with a great low end punch full of depth and warmth. This shell pack features DW's VLT (Vertical Low Timbre) which arranges the grain pattern of the inner-most and outer-most ply of the shell to run vertically instead horizontally. This seemingly small change places less tension on the shell and allows it to vibrate much more freely, thus allowing the drum to have a fundamentally lower pitch than it would otherwise.

The Design Series features the best of the best in drum set hardware. This includes DW's STM (Suspension Tom Mount) which allow the tom toms to be mounted without compromising the sound by stifling any vibration, True Pitch Tuning, the new low mass 'mini turret lug', and the artist approved MAG snare drum throw-off.
