Fleetwood Mac is one of the best-selling rock bands of all time. To commemorate the legacy of their drummer, Mick Fleetwood, DW has created a limited edition run of Collector's Series Icon Mick Fleetwood Rumours Snare Drums - true pieces of musical art. Only 250 of these drums were ever made.
Those designs you see on the shell aren't a paint job - each little part is actually a laser-cut, hand-inlayed piece of wood all covered with a high gloss lacquer finish, complemented with gold hardware.
The background wood is a highly detailed, tried-and-true Curly Maple, while each Rumours-inspired image is created from hand-inlayed exotic woods. This is a drum worthy of a rock and roll Hall of Famer.
As with all Collector's Series drums, this one includes a MAG throw-off and 3P Butt Plate to give you fine-tuned control and multiple settings for your snare tension, True-Hoops that keep the heads where they need to be, True-Tone snare wires, True-Pitch tuning, and DW heads made by Remo.
Not only does it look beautiful, but it sounds just as good. The 11-ply maple shell uses HVLT technology - Vertical Low Timbre plus a horizontal outer ply - which brings out the low, meaty sound of the drum without sacrificing strength.
DW has included a really incredible bag with this snare drum, featuring a heavily padded and super soft interior. An ergonomic rubber carry handle and an adjustable shoulder strap make transportation easy. Inside the case you'll find a microfiber towel to keep your drum looking pristine forever.
To top it all off, this drum comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, hand-signed by the DW Senior Executive Vice President and Drum Designer John Good.
A portion of the proceeds from this drum are used to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
