This DW snare drum is much lighter than the standard Collector's Steel drum, sounding like a brass studio favorite without needing so much muffling. The shell is rolled from pure stainless steel.
Everything about this drum is made to match the reflective silver look of the shell: stainless steel True Pitch tension rods and nickel-plated everything else: 3.0mm steel flanged hoops, nickel-plated lugs, throw-off, and butt plate.
