Pearl's 14" x 8" Task-Specific Free Floating Seamless Aluminum Snare Drum has a significant amount of depth, highlighting the very wide range that aluminum is capable of handling. You'll get very deep low tones, a healthy mid-range, and really nice highs.
Free Floating lugs do not touch the shell at all, letting it ring as much as it possibly can. With an aluminum shell, that means the metallic tone is going to carry for days. Die-cast hoops keep your tuning true even after thousands of rimshots, and you can crank the drum sky high.
Pearl has included the SR-160F Click-Lock Snare Strainer, which locks the lever and tension adjuster wherever you want it. The drum also comes fitted with a Remo Coated Ambassador batter head.
