The Pearl 14" x 6.5" Task-Specific Free Floating Phosphor Bronze Snare Drum is designed to highlight the naturally-occurring low fundamental boost of bronze. The depth of this drum emphasizes the beefy, dark tone you get with bronze, complete with the edge of a metal shell.
Free Floating lugs do not touch the shell at all, letting it ring as much as it possibly can. With a bronze shell, that means the metallic tone is going to carry for days. Die-cast hoops keep your tuning true even after thousands of rimshots, and you can crank the drum sky high.
Pearl has included the SR-160F Click-Lock Snare Strainer, which locks the lever and tension adjuster wherever you want it. The drum also comes fitted with a Remo Coated Ambassador batter head.
