The Remo Quicklock Hi Hat Clutch is an extremely reliable way to hold your top hat on the stand. Instead of threading a nut onto a tube like most clutches, you simply lock the bottom nut into place with a cleverly designed latch.
The tension between the felts and the cymbal is adjusted above the top hi hat, which is actually far more convenient than reaching underneath to twist a threaded nut.
