The White Hickory LP1A is the thickest of the Legacy series, making it the heaviest as well. It features a medium taper and a teardrop bead, and works best for hard music like metal or rock.

The Legacy Series drumsticks are a modification of IP's popular combo drumsticks - the 1A, 5A, 7A, et cetera. Most of the Legacy sticks have been refitted with a traditional teardrop bead, a tip which has been used by drummers for over a century.
