If ordered online, this drum will come with triple-flanged hoops. A die-cast hoop option is available but you must call us to make the order.
Ludwig Black Beauty Snare Drums are legendary, having been a fan favorite for what seems like forever. Making a seamless shell from a single sheet of beaded brass and giving it a black nickel finish is difficult, and they produce very limited numbers each year.
Brass produces a loud metallic attack, but it's far warmer and rounder than steel and more active than aluminum. The 5" depth of this model tunes high nicely, with a little more pop and less depth to the sound.
This drum comes equipped with classic Imperial lugs, triple-flanged hoops, and a P85 Supra-Phonic throw-off.
