The G-Maple Snare Drum features 12-ply maple shell plus an outer ply of kona mappa burl. This in turn creates a very bright sound. The outer kona mappa burl ply helps give this drum increased sensitivity and volume over a purely maple shell. The sound makes this a great fit for rock and pop gigs when needing to project in live situations. While this drum is loud, it remains articulate at all dynamic levels.
The finish and hardware are the cherry on top for this drum. The kona mappa burl against the black nickel hardware give this drum a sharp and classy look sure to catch eyes. The 2.3mm flanged hoops and low mass lugs allow the drum to resonate to it's full potential.
