The Roc-n-Soc Lunar Extended Throne features a hydraulic height adjustment system, moving up and down from 22" to 32" tall with a pull of the trigger thanks to a built-in nitrogen gas shock absorber. The absorber gives the seat a little bounce - a little extra bonus comfort.
Much taller than a drum set throne, this seat is excellent for timpanists or percussionists who play taller instruments while sitting down, really tall drummers, or other instrumentalists like bassists and cellists who require additional height while they play.
The hugger seat promotes excellent posture with its raised rear zone that hugs close to your body, while the cutaway saddle design keeps out of the way of your legs so you can comfortably change pitches on timpani. The back rest gives you a nice way to relax during tacet.
The 5-point base is about as stable as it gets, so you can lean far out to grab a different pair of mallets without risk of tipping over.
