Salyers Percussion Marching Arts Collection Marching Bass Drum Mallets are made from select hickory shafts designed with a flare in the butt end that feels good in players' hands and shifts the weight back; they're not completely front-heavy.
The puffy, fleece-like head on this mallet produces a warm, round sound with only the slightest articulation - a nice change from your standard bass drum mallet hard felt sound.
These models are made for bass drums 30" - 32" in diameter.
