These mallets create a playful, warm tone on the xylophone that can sound excellent in a front ensemble. You can get a 'crispier' sound than a marimba without sounding plinky and sharp. The heads are weighted to give you more volume for less work.
As a very handy bonus, these mallets have color-coded butt ends so you can tell which ones are which even when you put them head-first into a mallet bag!
