ProMark Optima Marching Bass Drum Mallets feature an elliptical hard felt head specially shaped to help prevent denting your bass heads.
The thick 'weight ring' just underneath the mallet head adds mass and velocity to each swing, giving you more power and volume with less effort. The added velocity also helps the mallet rebound off of the head more easily.
These mallets are topped with a 1-3/8" head, which is best-suited for 14" - 18" bass drums.
