The Remo Powerstroke P3 Felt Tone Bass Drum Head dampens your bass drum without the use of padding. The Felt Tone heads come with a built-in free-floating felt dampening strip, but it doesn't overlap the flesh hoop so it will not affect the overall tuning of the head.
