This snare head is designed to be used with oversized Premier pipe band snare drums. Designed in collaboration with Stephen Creighton and his championship winning corps, the St. Laurence O-Toole Pipe Band, this head offers both a bright and articulate sound for solo performances as well as a heavier head for more projection outdoors.
A thin laminate on the underside of the head increases the upper snare's sensitivity. The head is also made of a tightly woven fabric for strength and durability. Unlike many marching drumheads, this pipe band model does not require a long "break-in" period. Which means the head's pitch will settle almost instantly making this a must have for your pipe band snare.
