The IP Pius Cheung Soft Marimba Mallets are made with a thick rubber core surrounded by a unique alpaca-blend yarn that create an inaudible amount of contact sound out of the low bars - you simply get a warm, ear-filling tone.
The PIUS1 models are made for solo playing, specifically to be used in the lowest range of the instrument. Obviously these mallets work very well for Pius's neo-romantic style.
