Remo Emperor Hazy Snare Side Heads are made of a single ply of 5-mil Mylar film, quite thick for a snare bottom head. This thickness allows you to play virtually as loudly as you want without worrying about breaking the bottom head, while the hazy film grants you a dark tone.
