The Meinl SnareBox is essentially a snare drum you play with your foot! It's a great substitute for percussionists who are busy playing other hand instruments and can't pick up sticks, or other instrumentalists like guitarists and singer/songwriters. It takes up very little room.
To play it you'll need a bass drum pedal (sold separately) fitted with the included L-shaped rod and foam striking pad.
This instrument, made of sturdy Baltic birch, is playable either sitting or standing. A sound port in the front projects your snappy snare backbeats toward the audience.
