Pearl's Glide-Lock Snare Strainer has an ultra-smooth action and a very fine snare tension adjustment knob. The throw-off lever and the adjustment knob can both be locked, so they won't loosen under heavy playing.
When it comes time to change the bottom head, you can remove the throw-off and butt plate with the snares still attached, leaving all of your settings just as you want them!
