Grover Pro 10" Tunable Tambourine with Case and Key

Many percussionists greatly prefer the sound and feel of a natural skin head on their tambourine, which is absolutely fine. However, natural heads have always come with a lot of weather-related problems - if it's humid out, the skin will loosen and will soon sound like wet cardboard. In the past percussionists have either carted around heating pads and lighters or have resorted to synthetic heads. For you natural skin purists, there is still hope! Grover has now introduced the Tunable Tambourine - using the included tuning key, the head can be tightened or loosened regardless of the current barometric conditions, giving you the perfect sound whenever you want! Of course, it's important to remember to detune the tambourine after the gig so that the head doesn't pop when the humidity goes away.

The Tunable Tambourine also has another major trick up its sleeve: customization! With Beryllium Copper, Heat-Treated Copper, Heat-Treated Silver, and/or Phosphor Bronze Jingle Packs (sold separately) and the tuning key, you can remove the top row of jingles completely, letting you mix-and-match timbres to your heart's content. It's sort of like having 4 tambourines in one! As always, a padded bag is also included.
