Three pairs of steel jingles on a wooden tamborim frame create an exciting sound: a traditional sharp cutting tamborim with bright metallic accents. It may also be played with pandeiro techniques, for lighter accompaniment. A Thai coin is included, which is used as a tuning key. This instrument also utilizes the Floatune tuning system, which eliminates the need for drilling into the shell.
