In My Mother's Garden by Robert McClure uses a variation of performance and composition techniques to depict the peaceful nature of an English garden. McClure uses minimalistic and post minimalistic techniques to present and develop the theme, with the theme initially being introduced by the three performers using bows on the vibraphones and then later switching to mallets.
This is a beautiful piece that is great for a recital or percussion ensemble concert.
