La Boda de Luis Alonso is full of Spanish flair and pizazz, straight from a 19th-century 'zarzuela' - a style that evolved into what is known today as a comic opera. Arranged for 10 players, this percussion ensemble bridges the gap between classical music and percussion in a lively, fun way.
Clocking in at four minutes, this piece will challenge your intermediate students with its '3/4 in one' feel and quickly moving lines. It will also give one of your students an excuse to practice castanet technique!

From the arranger: This energetic work is full of sweeping melodic lines and light, fast-moving bass lines. The triplet figures are best interpreted in a more 'rounded' feel like that of the Spanish-Andalusian style. - Bobby Lopez
