Tapspace Anitra's Dance by Edvard Grieg arr. Blume

Anitra's Dance comes right after the even more famous In the Hall of the Mountain King in Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite. Brian Blume has taken the original pizzicato string and triangle colors and orchestrated them cleverly into a percussion ensemble format.

This arrangement is done very eloquently, retaining the playful character of the original work and adding some flourish with quick runs in the keyboards and some extra sounds from non-pitched percussion. This classical arrangement would fit perfectly into a quiet spot on any percussion ensemble program.
