Dots & Dashes by Dustin Schulze blends the worlds of West African tribal drumming and complex Western percussion art music. The result is an aggressive, impressive "drummy piece" worthy of any percussion quartet.
The title refers to Morse Code, a theme explored rhythmically. The meters inside this piece are complicated, and the audience will often not be able to discern where 1 is - but that's ok, because this music grooves hard the whole way through.
