Brush Hour by Alex Stopa is a creative homage to great brushwork masters for four players, four snare drums, and four pairs of wire brushes. This piece uses a lot of brush techniques commonly found in a jazz setting, with players trading licks, splitting rhythms, and working together to create the overall texture. There's even an optional improvised solo section!
