Escape Route by Matt Altmire is a fast-paced piece for 8-player percussion ensemble. This piece features two timpanists front and center, immediately creating tons of energy and sound, and they are supported by six percussionists playing standard percussion instruments most band rooms will have! The timpanists play two timpani each, making this a great chance for them to learn to play together as though they were one instrument.
