Jeff Queen's Modulation is a snare solo that explores the use of similar rhythms in different meters in sonata form. Players will experience flam, diddle, and roll rudiments throughout 4/4, 6/8, and 3/4 (and the 3/4 is felt as a fast 'in one').
This solo helps develop the comfort level of playing licks that are out of their 'natural time signature environment', making the performer extremely flexible in reading and playing accurately no matter what the time signature is!
