Chopstakovich by Jesse Sieff is a ferociously aggressive marching snare drum solo intended to be played along with a recording of the second movement (Allegro Molto) of Dmitri Shostakovich's Chamber Symphony in C Minor (Op. 110a). It also works perfectly well as a standalone piece of music.
Jesse wrote this piece of music for his "Commandant's Own" US Marine Drum & Bugle Corps audition, and it's excellent for that purpose - displaying high levels of both chops and musicality. Or, put it on a recital if you're looking for dark, brooding anger.
