Suite for Lounge Lizard by Bob Bollman is a challenging, high-level piece for timpani that won the 1986 and 1987 DCI Solo Competition. This piece is separated into three movement-like "acts" which each utilize different ideas to create opportunities for the performer to highlight their strengths.
